Happy belated New Year everyone. So much has changed I don’t know where to start. As many of you know we are lucky to have a new and much improved fishing vessel this year. Towards the end of 2013 someone made me an offer on my previous boat that I just couldn’t turn down. After much research I purchased a new vessel, a 31′ Ocean Master. All I can say is WOW. This boat is a tank and rides like a Cadillac.

I spent few months really customizing this vessel for our specific needs. For example I mounted the outriggers with extra height so when we are casting a fly the fly line will not touch the outrigger rigging. The boat has it all from twin Suzuki 4 stroke engines to twin Garmin screens, open array radar, underwater lights, LED courtesy lighting and 360 degree fish finding ability. The people that have recently fished with me on it have been amazed at just how well this boat does what its supposed to do.

Towards the end of August we had some very dirty water which destroyed the abie bite. Luckily, the Wahoo fishing has been fantastic from the second week in august to present. The bottom fishing for mutton snapper and yellow tails have continued to be excellent as well.

I have been busy making rods in preparation for the winer sailfish and the fall king mackerel run. The dolphin and blackfin tuna bite should be under way very soon.

I have been fishing so much lately I haven’t had much time to write. The albie fishing is on FIRE and these fish are HUGE! been chumming them up and getting one bigger than the next every cast.

Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin and kingfish should be arriving any day now. Also, the wahoo fishing has been excellent. This is my favorite time of year down here.

I want to take a moment to thank ….YOU. Thank you for all of your constant support of M’Ocean Grant’d Offshore Fishing. We have come so very far in just a short time. It seems like just last year we splashed M’Ocean Grant’d for a shake down cruise and look at us now!

So far this year we have had an excellent tournament season. We have been doing many KDW tournaments and also putting many first time anglers on their first fish on both fly and regular tackle.
